My students are culturally diverse and come from a lower socioeconomic community. My students are eager to learn about their world around them, but lack the materials and supplies at home to facilitate this.
Many of my students struggle with reading and math competency.
Many do not own books for reading at home, and they do not have math manipulatives or white boards at home for problem solving activities.
This pandemic has further exposed the frustrating lack of materials for learning at home for my students. During distance learning many times my students had to scramble to find a piece of paper or a pencil just to complete the assignment being demonstrated. Please help give my students an equal opportunity to learn during this pandemic by supplying their need.
Students will be immersed in the Impressionist Art experience. Through the exploration of the color wheel, they will see the different colors that can be used to express emotions in art. Students will learn how artists used these colors to create meaningful, colorful art. Impressionist paintings will be viewed and students will learn about the artists and what emotions they were expressing. Students will create their own colorful, Impressionist artwork.
The desktop easels will provide their art experience workspace with storage for their individual art tools.
It will also provide a drying space for their art pieces.
