My Project

I am inspired by my high school English Learner (EL) students every day. They bring a rich diversity of cultures, languages, and perspectives to the classroom, and their determination to learn and grow motivates me to create meaningful learning opportunities for them. Many of my students face significant challenges as they work to master English while also navigating the complexities of high school content. Yet, they persevere, showing resilience and a drive to succeed.

The resources I am requesting will create a literacy-rich environment that fosters engagement, critical thinking, and confidence in language skills.

These items will support targeted activities like guided reading, interactive vocabulary building, and writing workshops that align with their unique needs as English Learners. By providing tools that scaffold their learning, I aim to bridge the gap between where they are and where they aspire to be academically.

My goal for this project is to create an immersive experience where my students can develop their reading, writing, and communication skills in a way that prepares them for success in school and beyond. I want to cultivate a classroom culture that encourages exploration, nurtures creativity, and celebrates every small victory on their journey to language mastery.

What makes my students special is their eagerness to embrace challenges and their courage to learn a new language while excelling in other subjects. They are not just learning English; they are building bridges to brighter futures for themselves and their families. With your support, I can provide them with the resources they need to unlock their full potential.
