Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students bring me great joy as they bring materials in my classroom to life.

It is the youngest learners that teach me to become a better teacher.

I learn from them every day through play. This past week a student was dressed as a Mailman and said, "I wish I had a mailbox". I love making their play plans come to life. The mailbox will allow me to scaffold learning through letter-writing opportunities and by having a discussion on their home address.

The baby doll blankets will be a great asset to the house area where students engage in nurturing opportunities through doll play. In addition, the cash register will bring money math to life and the identification of coins.

My students see things and use materials to explore, on a daily basis. I take their insight and use it to create lessons where I can scaffold on their developmental level.
