My Students

The students in my classroom are incredibly diverse in terms of their talents, special skills, and abilities. Despite having to move to distance learning, they continue to show up everyday ready to learn and grow as scholars. We are beginning to explore what it means to have a growth mindset, and they continue to amaze me with their ability to persevere.

My Project

I am a brand new teacher about to enter my first year teaching with a 4th/5th grade split classroom. I would like to incorporate a creative writing station into the classroom for the students.

A creative writing station would allow students to imagine, create and share things to their classroom community and would give me a better insight into how I can meet their learning needs throughout the school year.

I hope to gather these resources before the beginning of the year to prepare the station for their arrival back to school!
