Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagination is important! My students are 4 and barely 5. They love to pretend! I would love to provide them with an engaging and enriching dramatic play area. They get to use their imaginations and take on different roles as a way of exploring themselves and their surroundings. These additional dramatic play items will expand the learning in our classroom.

Dramatic Play allows Students to use their imagination to experience different things like camping, or taking care of their pets with the vet tech set.

It also fosters creativity, improves social skills, and develops problem solving skills. We have limited materials in our classroom to allow students to fully immerse themselves in the dramatic play area. Adding a play market stand to our classroom furniture will allow our dramatic play area to easily change with each theme. We can make our market a grocery store, an ice cream shop, a taco stand, a vet office, a restaurant, a mechanic, and many more dramatic play themes. Adding this piece of furniture will likely be one of the most versatile in our classroom.
