This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Imagination plays a crucial role in the development of young children, especially during art center activities.

Art is important for pre-kindergarten children because it helps them develop many skills, including creativity, problem-solving, language and social skills, critical thinking, self-confidence, etc.

My students have been showing a great learning motivation through centers, especially when they have the freedom of creating new items, such as laptops, cell phones, headbands, backpacks, sculptures, jewelry, etc.

Encouraging imagination in centers not only enhances learning but also lays the foundation for lifelong skills. By providing diverse and stimulating materials, we can help children thrive in their imaginative endeavors!

All students will have access to use the materials as they want, and as they feel in each specific situation. This is the reason why I am looking to get as many tools and materials like hole puncher and modeling clay as I can so they can have endless ways to explore their imagination.
