My Project

PreK kids love to play! Our classroom dramatic play area allows kids to act out scenarios they've seen or heard in real life, giving them an important emotional outlet as they explore new situations. Creating play scenarios with others highlights the importance of imagination!

These materials will allow children to develop many important skills necessary for learning.

First, when the children engage in pretend play, they develop friendships and use their communication skills. Next, when a child engages in pretend play, he/she is actively experimenting with the social and emotional roles of life and enhances thinking skills.

My students are coming to school for the first time. Many are adjusting to leaving their families and others are being immersed in the English language. Playing in our dramatic play is most comforting because it resembles home. We want to create a real-life experience in our classroom to develop our newest students!
