Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are third through fifth graders who are full of energy. The students have adapted to the challenges thrown at them this past year and are not only surviving but thriving in this very different environment. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in maker space activities and STEM challenges, and are very curious. I have a large population of English language learners. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. They are all amazing kids!

My students are often asking for snacks!

Our students get free breakfast and lunch in school and some get backpack bags for the weekend as well, unfortunately not all that applied were able to get into the backpack bag program due to such high need. I would like to have snacks on hand to fill that void as needed. Students can benefit from Oatmeal, water, mac and cheese, takis and cake mix/icing for when there is a special occasion. It will be like our very own in school food pantry.
