Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a counselor at an elementary school that has close to 700 students. We are located on the border of Texas and Mexico. I enjoy working with our students. They are creative, motivated, and eager to learn. Though they face many challenges, they continue to move forward even through a pandemic.

My Project

An iPad would open a window of communication between my students and myself. I provide guidance lessons to students from Pk- 2nd grade. During these lessons I not only provide information that will help them succeed, but it also gives students an opportunity to share what is on their mind. There are many apps I could use to communicate with them as well as send them information and activities (Google Classroom, Google Meet, Seesaw, TEAMS, Apple Clips, Goodnotes, Kindle, Calming apps, drawing apps.... and the list goes on). The possibilities could be endless!
