Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

First, please excuse the picture that is posted (I can't seem to change it... :) My students are wonderfully intelligent students in a high school in the South Bronx. They are curious and delightful but short on supplies, such as books. They would truly appreciate any help you could provide.

Our class is a smaller accelerated history class, based on the students' interests.

They are bright, respectful, and curious about everything around them. They are just starting to realize their true potential and I would love to see them receive these books in order to help them on their journey...

My Project

We are trying to complete a project on globalization and the treatment of children worldwide. They are starting to discover the true plight of many children around the world and are also discovering a lot about themselves. We need this book to help them along the way...

These are children who do not have many books in their homes, nor do they have the means to purchase them.

There are libraries, but they are few and far between, and getting a book that they can keep means more to them than most of us can imagine. Thank you so much for your help.
