My Project
I am reaching out to highlight the importance of a specific spotlight for our theatre club's upcoming production of "Mean Girls Jr." Our school’s lighting system is currently non-functional, and, regrettably, it will not be repaired in time for our performance. This spotlight will play a crucial role in illuminating the front of the stage, ensuring that our talented students shine brightly during the show. Beyond this production, the spotlight will also be an invaluable asset for future performances and assemblies at our school, fostering a vibrant arts community.
My goal is to build a sense of ensemble and community among our students while enhancing their literacy, and social-emotional learning.
By providing hands-on experience in managing stage lighting, students involved in the tech crew will gain practical skills that are essential in theatre production. Our dedicated group of hardworking students, hailing from a Title I school, excels at making the most of what we have, but having a reliable lighting system would elevate our performances to a more professional standard. It would mean the world to our students to have their hard work showcased in the best possible light, quite literally. Your support in acquiring this spotlight will not only enhance our current production but will also empower our students for years to come. Thank you for considering our request.
