My Students

Our middle school students are from urban, rural, and suburban areas. Right now we are coming back from a few weeks of remote learning back to the hybrid model. Some students come in several days a week while other students are home remotely full-time for the remainder of the year.

On the first day I walked into our building as a substitute teacher many years ago, I saw a sign about the doors that reads, "The greatest students in the world go to school here." Several minutes later as I tried to make my way around the building a student asked me if she could escort me to the correct classroom.

In the years since that day, I have continued to believe that all of our students are the best and they deserve the best.

My Project

This iPad will help students who do not have a device participate better in class. It is not always ideal to have to share an item or an electronic device. This extra iPad will be a resource for students to use when they are having issues with their laptops or cell phones. So much of our instruction is online now that not having a device can make it very difficult to keep up. For example, when other students are watching an instructional video independently, students without devices will not be able to participate in that lesson.

This iPad can be used for video production and photography for class projects so that students can show what they have learned.

The screen cover will add protection to the iPad so it does not get scratched.
