My Students

My students are eager third graders who love learning! My school is located in Baltimore city. We are a Title 1 school that serves low-income families. I have a group of 24 students who love to learn and share what they are doing in and outside of the classroom.

Many of my students do not have access to technology at home, however, there are many wonderful resources that could support and enhance their learning in the classroom and prepare them to be college and career ready.

My Project

Having the set of iPads will allow for differentiated instruction and learning in my classroom. One way they will be used is as a Math center. I could download apps for various math practice skills for a math center, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students. Another way they will be used is by having students take pictures and videos of their results during science investigations. They could collaborate on group findings by sharing their results through blogging platforms. Lastly, students would be able access digital books and text on the set of iPads.
