My Students

This year my classroom is a general education classroom with students from backgrounds from around the world - Russia, Cuba, and Brazil just to name the few. Although the classroom is "general" education, I have students with many different educational needs that need to be met and with many different learning styles! Some students are advanced readers, while other are about average or still emerging. Some students are learning English for the first time and some are native English speakers. The diversity is vast and I would like to have many tools in my classroom to cater to each individual child.

My Project

Technology is leading the way in education! iPads and other tablets have provided a new way of teaching and learning. Our classroom would like an iPad, charging station, and case for reading and math instruction. Adding technology to the classroom would greatly enhance the educational experience of the students. All of my students exhibit unique and individual learning styles. The tablets will be used during small group instruction for both reading and math. This will be help foster the individual abilities and progress of each learner.

Tablets and other technologies help me as the teacher reach students who exhibit hands on independent learning styles.

In addition, our children will benefit greatly from being exposed to technology at an early age. Having access to technology will inspire our next generation of computer scientists and help children develop an interest for technology.

With these materials I hope to motivate students to not only learn but to have fun and inspire children during their educational experience.
