Igniting a Fire in Computer Science!

Help me give my students a Chromebook to learn about computer science. My students would love to learn how to code.

My Project

Bill Gates states,

“Learning to write programs stretches your mind, and helps you think better, creates a way of thinking about things that I think is helpful in all domains.” This quote completely resonates with me as I write this project proposal.

My students need a Chromebook for our classroom. This Chromebook will enable all of my students to prepare for careers in computer science. All of my students deserve to take part in using technology that will change our world. Computers play a very important part in the field of science. My students are leaders of tomorrow and they are a bright bunch of students who are preparing for their future. All students need to learn the language of computer programming. These future computer programmers can learn to design codes. By teaching my children to code early on, they will be able to build the confidence and skills needed in the field of computer science. I would love all of my students to learn by doing as they are able to apply all of their learning to using computer coding websites.

Let’s make my students' dreams become a reality with a brand-new Chromebook. I also agree with this one last quote from Michael Bloomberg, “We salute the coders, designers, and programmers already hard at work at their desks, and we encourage every student who can’t decide whether to take that computer science class to give it a try. New York City’s economic future depends on it, and while we are already giving thousands of our students the opportunity to learn how to code, much more can, and should be done.” With that being said, let’s motivate and spark a fire in all of my students to pursue a career in computer science.
