Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a dedicated preschool teacher working with students from low-income backgrounds, I witness daily the profound impact of early childhood education on young lives facing significant challenges. Many of my students come from homes affected by economic hardship and numerous traumatic experiences, making the classroom a sanctuary where they can thrive and grow.

My wish list reflects a heartfelt desire to provide my students with the best possible learning materials, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has the tools to thrive and succeed.

These resources go beyond mere tools; they are opportunities for exploration, creativity, and healing. From sensory play materials that stimulate cognitive development to books that open windows to new worlds, each item on this list is carefully selected to nurture not just academic skills but also emotional resilience.
