Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The ethnicity of our school population is 2.7% White, 26% Black, and 70.6% Hispanic. 100% of my students are people of color. In most homes, parents do not speak English or do not have the financial resources to assist students with their learning. When they come to my classroom, I would like them to gain as much knowledge and experience.

My Project

90% of my students did not attended Pre-K due to Covid-19 and are already behind. They are need technology such as these Fire tablets in the classroom to allow them to use programs such as iReady, Reflex Math and myOn Reader to work on skills they are lacking in reading and math. 95% of my students are working below grade level in both reading and math. Kindergarten provides the foundation for future learning and I would like to provide my students with all the resources and materials they need to help get them to pass the SAT and to make sure they are prepared for the next first grade.
