Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 3rd-grade students have been working hard since day 1 of the 2022-2023 school year to improve their reading skills, increase their reading stamina, and continue to foster their love for reading. Our favorite time of day is when we get to open up our just-right books and find a cozy place in the classroom and dive into the world of reading.

My students LOVE graphic novels such as the Bad Guy series and The Last Kids on Earth and truly enjoy seeing characters like themselves such as in Ellray Jakes book series!

I am hoping to expand my classroom library to incorporate more of my students' interests to continue to blossom their reading growth.
