My Students

My second-grade students love to learn! They are curious, conversational, and diverse. They range in abilities, ethnicities, and backgrounds but the one thing they have in common is their love for learning.

This pandemic has caused a big divide as far as my students reading abilities.My students need phonics readers to become more independent decoders.

My Project

This year my second graders are facing more challenges than ever before. Distance learning has seemed to create a divide in ability. As a result many are still developing their phonics and reading skills. They need beginning phonics readers that will be the perfect fit to help them gain confidence and fluency.

My second graders need phonics based books that are the right size for their current levels!

I need high interest stories to grab their attention and keep their interest. Help me match my readers to the right books to help them master these foundational reading skills!
