My Students

"Mrs. S, may I use the computer?!" Many times in my classroom students struggle with certain skills. The iPad2 is so appealing and versatile that the students will not only enjoy using it, but they will practice the necessary skills to succeed in our Kindergarten classroom!

My Kindergarten students attend an urban charter school which is in its first year and lacking supplies.

My 17 students are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of their time here at school. I would love to supply them with as much enrichment as possible.

My Project

Studies show that there is a 30-million-word deficit in young students who come from high poverty areas. This iPad2, protective case and docking station will be used as a listening center, among other things, to help bridge this gap. Students will have the opportunity to visit the listening center daily to listen to stories while they follow along on the iPad2. The students will not only enjoy being read to, but they will also enjoy working with new technology in our room! Any step to bridge this gap is a step in the right direction! Will you help?

Your donation would make it possible for my students to develop the skills necessary to succeed in Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and so much more.

Your help will give each one of my students the chance for a solid foundation! These items will bring excitement to their learning and will give my students the experience they so desperately need!
