My Project

As part of the 9th grade curriculum, students explore ideas of identity and self. Darius the Great is Not Okay will be our anchor text for that unit. Not only is the book very high interest, it also is accessible for a wide range of students.

The donation would go towards purchasing the books and distributed to my students, which will have an immediate impact on their learning this year.

In the culminating project for the unit, students will create their own personal narratives in the same style as the novel.
