This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a fourth grade reading and writing teacher it is important for me to provide the necessary materials and instruction for my students to be successful in the classroom. My fourth graders come from very different families and back grounds in one of the largest school districts in the state of Texas. It is common for the young boys and girls in my class to be the first people in their families to graduate high school and attend college.

We are a Title 1 school in a district that is economically disadvantaged with a very diverse group of students who enjoy coming to school every day.

Fourth Grade is a crucial year for students to showcase their skills in both reading and writing. Please consider helping me help my students reach their full potential this year.

My Project

Having a class set of iClickers will allow students to easily answer questions and receive instant feedback and data. The iClickers will be used daily during warm ups so that students can see what types of problems they struggle with. The data received from the iClickers will help students as they track their data and guide them in taking ownership of their learning. This project would significantly enhance my students' understanding of the skills they need to focus on during stations.

This will also help me be able to see which students are struggling and be better able to plan for how I can help them in small groups.

I have seen how beneficial having a class set of iClickers can be for both students and teachers. The instant feedback is a crucial asset to helping students take ownership of their learning, grow, and become successful.
