This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching science this year has had me on fire (not literally), but my science experiments have gotten much colder! 4th grade science in Florida is all about energy! That means we need a lot of hot and cold items. We have a microwave to heat up items. Now is time to have an ice maker.

An ice maker would allow my scientists to experiment with how objects flow from hot objects to cold objects!

Our next units are about conductors and insulators/ heating and cooling. To test that, we need a lot of ice in our experiments. Having an ice maker on hand would allow both my classes the opportunity to do the necessary science experiments. This would be extremely helpful with the multiple science classes I teach.

We'll be able to use the ice maker well beyond the next units and for years to come! Thanks for supporting my scientists!
