My Students

My students are full of love and energy. They enjoy Pete the Cat, Elmo, puzzles, playdoh, and coloring! They love exploring the different ways to play with toys. They are curious and ready to learn! All of my students are between the ages of 5 and 6.

My wonderful class consists of students with disability diagnoses who receive speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.

We have been learning 5 days a week in-person! My students are excited to be in school. This past school year was challenging with the constant opening and closures due to COVID-19. We have learned to accept the change.

With their return to school in the fall (and hopefully a more consistent opening), I am dedicated to making sure their learning experiences are full of joy and fun. This school is in a new location and due to budget cuts, we do not have the supplies we usually would.

My Project

Our students have been back in school for most of the 20-21 school year. During this time, we have learned the nutritional needs of our students. Many students bring their own lunch as they do not eat the school lunch. Most of them bring food that needs to be refrigerated and heated up. We like to keep food in the classroom that they like in case they don't bring it to school (or else they will not eat).

In order for our students to be focused and healthy, we want to have the food they like available.

We also are in the process of toilet-training. To teach our students to initiate asking for the bathroom, we need to make sure they are consuming enough fluids. Some of our students will only drink water/juice if it is cold.

Since we are buying food and drink for our students throughout the school year, it would be a great help if you could donate to get our class a fridge, so we have a place to store the food and drink.
