Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra." ~ Jimmy Johnson. There is nothing ordinary about my students. They sometimes need a little extra attention and they definitely give a little extra effort... they are extraordinary.

My students attend a school for the Deaf in New York, which specializes in meeting the specific needs of Deaf students and provides them direct access to information.

My students take in and process information mostly through their visual sense. They learn best when they see what they are learning and have interactive learning experiences.

My Project

I am requesting an iPad mini with a cover which will help create an Interactive Learning Center in my classroom. Such a center will motivate my students through technology to be independent. An iPad mini will provide a limitless amount of interactive learning. It will cater to students of all abilities and engage them in different subjects including but not limited to math, reading, writing, science, and more.

Donations to this project will assist in not only motivating my students with a new Interactive Learning Center but also help create independent learners.

Many times my students can be too dependent and learning through the use of an iPad mini will help aide in developing independence. An independence which my students need for their future.
