Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a junior high school where we are currently in the IB recognition program. Our students are learning new ways to describe their thinking, conduct experiments, and design.
Throughout the IB model, my students need to prepare, critique and support each other while defending the concepts and ideas they have learned.
Part of their 2-year middle year program students will have a community project at which point they will need to present and defend their topics on community or world views. This Go-Pro camera, accessories and tripod will allow my students the opportunity to record their presentations and review, and peer critique the steps. This will allow students to become better public speakers will boost their confidence and ability to present material in a public forum.
