My Students

I teach in a Pre K-8 building. Due to the pandemic, attending school looks quite different for them than in previous years. For students who attend school in the building, they are required to wear masks. Most of the students come from low socio economic households. Some students have their own mask, while some have the generic white/blue mask. Either way, it costs money to buy these masks. Once a mask falls on the ground, it is either garbage or the student has to have their parent wash it. Unfortunately, laundry day is another added expense.

My Project

I am requesting lanyards so my students won't lose their masks. Students are required to wear masks while attending school for their in person learning. The only time they are able to take off the mask is while their are eating lunch. However, because they are kids, students tend to take it off during the day and the masks sometimes fall on the floor. Students are allowed to remove their masks while eating their lunch.

Protect the mask from falling on the floor.

With the mask holder clips, whether a student takes the mask off to eat or it falls off, the mask will never fall on the floor. The mask will be held by the holder and still stay around the students neck.
