My Students

I currently have 16 Pre-kindergarten students. All of my students’ families have elected in-person instruction. However, there have been times when I taught from home. Or when a student's learning environment was abruptly changed to virtual. My students are enthusiastic about learning despite all of the challenges during this pandemic. They are vested in their academic growth by any means necessary.

My Project

The materials from this project will take the quality of my remote teaching to another level. No matter if I am in the classroom or teaching from home, OKIOCAM has been highly recommended as a must have piece of technology. I have spent so much money out of pocket trying to maintain the same quality of engagement at home as in the classroom. Especially since my targeted audience is so young; 4 years old, I only have an optimal amount of time to get their attention and teach a skill.

During this pandemic, personal safety is obviously my first concern.

Therefore, materials that allow each child to store their own personal tools are essential. Parents have not been able to supply some of the basic essentials for their child's learning this school year; like backpacks, scissors, glue, and snacks. And a lot of challenges have been beyond my control. So to be able to give each scholar a backpack and some of the daily necessities to use at home would be fulfilling to me.
