Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There's nothing like losing yourself in a good book. Unfortunately, for many of my third graders, they don't YET have the skills to immerse themselves in a book. They're still working on putting sounds together to read words which will then lead to reading sentences to pages to chapters in a book.

By donating to our project, you will be providing some tools that can help my third graders to finally become readers.

The plan is to work daily on those skills that will help them to feel confident in their reading skills. The magnetic letters and boards will enable them to manipulate the letters into words. The markers and colored pencils will be used to practice writing words that they learn and drawing pictures to accompany their word work. The joy of reading is real and I hope that ALL of my third graders can one day experience it.
