This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students were so appreciative of the new books they got last year. Thanks to all that made it possible! The contributions helped my class library grow, and they loved partnering up to read I Spy. There is a small problem...our floors are not very comfy. I don't want to get a rug (one more thing to keep clean)...so I have another idea.

My students could really use some cushions to sit on while they read.

These seat cushions would also benefit my students whenever they have to sit at the carpet, but also offer some flexible seating when they read.

We thank you kindly for the chair pockets from last year. I am wanting to add some more color to my room and keep up with a room theme that I now have, and these colors are perfect. This will provide a great place to put their papers and folders, and their testing boards--and any other tools they are given.

We would love some more books as well. We could really use some coin manipulatives for math as well that I can use year after year; we are approaching learning about money in our book soon.
