My Students

My classroom is an active, vibrant, exciting place of learning, where students come to drink deep and leave full of knowledge. Help me to start them on their educational journey with this exciting technology that will provide limitless uses and will enhance classroom instruction.

My students attend a small, inner-city, Title I school in South Carolina.

Our school, while filled with over 70% free and reduced lunch, strives everyday to push our students to new heights! We engage our students with the arts, wow them with our curriculum, and put their hands on every lesson. They are curious learners ... like little sponges, soaking up every bit of information I can give them. They LOVE science! I work overtime trying to go deeper and get more for their wondering minds. This tool will help me as I will be able to scan in maps, artwork, music, literature, etc. This will help every aspect of classroom instruction.

My Project

Have you ever been reading to a group of students and the ones in the back or to the side say, "I can't see!!!" Nothing is more frustrating for a child who wants to be engaged in the lesson but cannot due to the size or space of the classroom. This scanner will allow me to QUICKLY scan in read aloud books, worksheets, artwork, etc. so that all students will be actively engaged in all aspects of learning.

Our school has a small scanner that the entire faculty shares.

It is extremely slow and can often waste valuable planning time as we sit and wait to scan in items needed for instruction. This amazing tool will help me to use time more efficiently and make my instruction more effective. Help me to be the best teacher I can be for my students. They deserve the best education they can get!
