Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students face many obstacles such as housing and food insecurity. As teachers we want to be able to meet their basic needs in order to help them better overcome the academic challenges they must persevere through.

Clean socks and underwear are small but impactful ways to help our students feel more secure and confident.

Often times students come to school with no socks on or even with soiled undergarments. Sometimes accidents happen in school and we are unable to immediately get a change of clothing. Having a supply in school will help avoid the embarrassment that some students experience, through no fault of their own.
