Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 50 dyslexic students, 68% of them are bilingual students and all are from low social economic homes. My students are also, amazing. They come to school, they try their best and they do not give up. They find a way to compensate for their obstacles.

Reading is a challenge for my students and the majority of them do not like to read.

I am in a quest to show them that reading can be magnificent and to get them to love reading.

My Project

The Samsung Galaxy tablet will allow me to mirror what is on my tablet onto the screen allowing my students to see how to do the lessons. The majority of my material is digital and I do not have a document camera to use to model to my students; this has made my teaching challenging.

This tablet will also help me with inclusion sessions that I need to do to support my students in the general education setting.

I will be able to access web based lessons that the students need to access to understand the material better
