Help me give my students the opportunity to learn from a very experienced lawyer, Richard Celestin. He will teach them communication skills to effectively get the point across without becoming overly emotional.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Mr. Celestin is a skilled lawyer and motivational speaker. Through his virtual visits and program, my students will build up their confidence to stand up in front of an audience, be it peers, parents, or lawyers, and state their case.
These workshops are designed to help the students develop communication skills while learning how to be a good citizen.
Each week, our 5th grade students will be given a Civics lesson to work through - they will learn how to construct arguments/counter arguments and play Devil's Advocate. Each student will have their own virtual workbook for case studies. Once a month, Mr. Celestin will pay a virtual visit to our classrooms to work with our students, highlighting different strategies. They will learn to become good citizens, as they learn how to stand up for other people's rights. At the end of the Spring program, they will get a chance to showcase their arguments to local lawyers and judges.
We have been participating in this program for several years now and the benefits are numerous. The students in this program have a better attitude and are willing to participate in class more frequently (even the shy ones). A student may enter this program timid and shy, but they leave it with confidence and gusto. They are ready for middle school and the challenges ahead.
We do not have the budget to support this program - unless, donors like you help us out. Please help fund this very important experience.
