About My Students

Amir, Amdin, Joe, James, and Angelica wanted to learn math in a new way. They requested that we have more technology in math class. The students said, "It will make learning more interactive and help focus the class".

The students developed this idea because technology is part of their everyday lives. In some subjects the students have used tablets to further their learning. I thought this was a great idea! Why not use I-Pads in math? The students wanted to have a more hands-on learning experience. They felt tablets would motivate students and make them more interested in learning.

Having I-Pads in math class will allow more group activities while building teamwork skills. Students will need to work on sharing with their group and deciding who will have what task. The world we are living in today is centered around technology and teamwork. Working with computers has become a focus of the future. Allowing student's the opportunity to work with technology will expose them to something they may use in their careers. They will be able to watch real-life math videos that show how adults use math everyday. The students will be prepared for a more technological future by working as a group with I-Pads.

In Their Own Words

The goal we are trying to accomplish is to make math easier while having fun. Technology has become a huge part of today's society and I-Pads will ensure that students will have an easier time learning. It will offer student's a visual hands-on experience. It will also help focus struggling students and provide extra steps to help them succeed. The I-Pads will provide challenging work for student's that may be working at an advanced level.

We will help our teacher by finding applications that will aid us in improving our grades. Many math applications are available for I-Pads and we would like to show our classmates how they can help them succeed. We will also help our teacher by taking care of the I-Pads and making sure they stay in great condition so future classes will still be able to use this amazing technology.

The I-Pads will help capture student's attention and make them more involved in their own learning. Technology is now a huge part of all kids lives once they leave school, why shouldn't it be a part of their learning too? The project will provide technology in the math classroom and prepare students for a brighter future!
