This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Good day donor!

My students are visual learners who benefit from anchor charts and other visual resources.

I work in a 4th-grade, dual-language, ICT setting and my students come from different backgrounds and have varying needs. Some have had interrupted formal education, and others are reading way beyond a fourth-grade level and need to be challenged academically.

I am requesting Post-it chart paper and markers because they are sturdier, and last longer, and the Post-it chart paper sticks to the walls where we need them. I am also requesting some dry-erase markers for the students to work with during math and a TPT gift card because there are so many amazing resources on TPT that will help me address the learning needs of my class.

It can be quite challenging working in a dual-language, ICT classroom. This means we work in English AND Spanish at the same rate and have students with learning challenges who benefit from more support. Some children need extra resources (i.e. number charts and alphabet charts) to address some educational gaps, others may need more challenging work to do as they finish quicker than their peers. This is where TPT comes in. The resources posted on the site supplement the curriculum that I am given and help me make the curriculum more accessible for my students.

Instead of re-creating references and other materials that already exist, I can print them out from TPT and have time to make adjustments to the curriculum so that the children make progress this year and catch up to their grade level.
