I Need a Break Please!

Help me give my students quality sensory toys to help them regulate emotions and reduce anxiety.

My Project

I work in a classroom with students who face many challenges and also celebrate many small victories. My students struggle with identifying emotions and also calming down after dealing with these feelings.

I try to schedule in daily sensory times so they can refocus and then get back to their school work.

During this time they are allowed to choose an item that brings them joy or helps them work through a problem. It can be a solo activity or with a friend for social time.

These items, such as the push peel board keep hands busy so that brains can refocus and have a break. All items provide sensory input such as lights, sounds, fine motor work and tactile input.
