Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Early readers and writers often see themselves as not being able to read because the text is too challenging. Another struggle early readers have is that, not only is it too difficult of text, it is also not of interest. Having early reader books for our youngest readers is key to building their confidence and allowing them opportunities to grow as readers. Having text that is enjoyable and engaging is also critical. The books being requested are high engagement topics such as animals, current movie characters, popular cartoon characters, etc. Think about how great it would be to walk to the library shelves and find a just right book that is something you enjoy AND you can read the words inside! Talk about confidence boosting for young readers! #filleveryshelf
