Help me give my students sets of books they can read at school and home. The King School Reading Series offers interesting stories with characters my students can relate to.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative, curious, and eager to learn. The students and families are working hard on early literacy skills.
They are on the threshold of becoming independent readers and writers.
Reading and writing with a partner is one of their favorite activities. They love to help one another improve and show off their new skills to their families at home.
My Project
Students in first-grade need lots of books that they can read at their independent level for practice. After teaching reading skills to students in small groups, these books will give them a chance to have fun while reading on their own.
The books that I am requesting are a mixture of fiction and nonfiction to capture the interest of all the students.
The King Series books have reoccurring themes and characters that will make the students want to read more. The Scholastic books will appeal to future scientist and engineers.
