If you walk into my room, you will often see my first graders learning together while I am meeting with small groups. They love taking ownership of their learning!
I teach some wonderful first graders who love to learn!
Our school focuses on learning through inquiry so all throughout the day we are problem solving and working to learn more about the world around us. Our community is very supportive because they want each child to be successful!
When I first got an iPad for my classroom, we used it to play reading and math games. As time went on, we began to use it in so many more ways! We use them for research, writing stories, and becoming fluent in our math facts! As we inquired about the world around us, we were able to use the iPads to help us find the answers. However, with 18 kids in the room, there were not enough iPads to go around! Getting one more iPad mini would help my students better collaborate together in their learning.
We live in a day and age where kids need to be technologically literate to be successful.
Please help my students build those skills while inquiring about the world in a meaningful way!
