My Students
"Seeing is believing." Most of the students that I have learn better with visuals. I ,sometimes, explain concepts many times; but until I actually start writing on the board, the scholars cannot follow.
I teach A/P Calculus, Physics, and Algebra & Trigonometry in a high schools located in a high poverty, high need area in New York.
My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill level; nevertheless, all my scholars share the same drive for learning. As a concerned teacher, I believe that it is only fair to look for ways and means to assist my scholars to achieve their educational goals.
My Project
This TV will serve as a giant computer monitor for the entire classroom, and as medium for viewing course related videos and software to strengthen or complement my students understanding of specific concepts. I also have requested and gotten a video camera that I will use to record the lessons for further viewing by the students that will express the needs. Setting up my classroom as a multimedia center will allow my students to have different perspectives on some concepts from a variety of sources.
