My Project

This is a sad and special year for me as a educator. I am retiring as an educator after 30 years and in this final project I want my students to know and remember that there are teachers who care for them; not just academically but also for their mental, physical and emotional safety.

There is nothing more empowering than a caring, kind and compassionate teacher who gives more than knowledge but a small act of kindness and care.

In this final year of my career of empowering and educating students. In addition, I have always involved my students in various extra-curricular activities on campus. The far most notable moment that I have of teaching students how to rally a group of their classmates to work on Human Rights issues, This is notable around our annual West Side High School Blankets of Hope Project. During this project we went to Newark Penn Station to hand out blankets to the homeless.
