My Students

Our students are currently required to do web based programs such as I Station and DreamBox Learning Math. These programs require a great deal of concentration. It's really hard to concentrate if there are 24 computers operating are various volumes. Please help us!

As of now we have one lonely pair of headphones and that was borrowed.

I really want my students to be able to concentrate and hear well while completing their lessons in the reading and math programs. Reading and math will play a huge role in the lives of my students throughout their school years and in their everyday lives. I have some eager first grade students who love to learn and love technology. They are excited about completing their reading and math programs. However, I know they would do much better if they could hear the programs without noise interference.

My Project

Our goal is to engage the students and improve student achievement. The programs are interactive and the students would be more engaged if they could hear the prompts and stories without distractions and other noises. This would help me too because I would not have to hear complaints of "Ms. Fisher, I can't hear my computer!"

We want to achieve our goal of improving reading comprehension and math skills.

All students should have an opportunity to be successful and be prepared for the next grade level. My students deserve this opportunity because they have proven to me that despite the distractions, they can do what is required. With the extra support from the headphones, I know they will soar!
