My Students

Hello! I teach Reading Intervention to the scholars in my school who struggle in reading. My students have such love, such bright smiles and always want to give you a hug or give out a kind compliment. This is the atmosphere of my school despite the lack of books we have to offer these low readers learning opportunities. It would be SUCH a blessing if our school could receive low level beginning reader books so these beautiful scholars can have a selection of books to choose from to practice their strategies and continue to grow stronger as readers. Reading is the heart of all learning, and if they can't read well, they get frustrated and struggle as they move up. These scholars deserve books, they deserve the chance at being a strong reader, and to learn to love books! I ask you with my whole heart to please consider our school and making a donation of low level reading books to our school. I am certain our scholars will be so excited and grateful to you and write you letters of gratitude and tell you what they love about their new books. Thank you so very much for your time.

My Project

Our scholars are so low in reading and do not have a selection of books in their classroom libraries to go 'book shopping' for. This breaks my heart. My goal and vision for our school is to watch these young Kindergarteners and First graders be excited and bright eyed when it's time to go 'book shopping'. They will walk over to their beautiful classroom library filled with colorful and interesting books to choose from. They will go to their leveled reading bin and have the opportunity to browse through a selection of books to choose from to put in their book baggie and to practice reading independently and practice using their reading strategies every day to grow stronger as a reader and strengthen their comprehension and fluency.

My hope is that our scholars will learn to LOVE reading and believe in themselves that they CAN read!

To look forward to book shopping because of the now wide selection of brightly colored, interesting pictures, just right leveled text, and characters they love. Thank you so very much for your time to read this!
