My Project

When we study "insects as food" students are always interested, but it is not a concrete experience. Since this is not a common practice in their culture, they can only imagine whether or not they would truly sample insects as food. With this project, they will have the opportunity to sample insects as a snack and read more about the rationale behind "eating bugs!" (And who doesn't like flavored, salty, crunchy foods!) This is also a great opportunity to explore foods of other cultures and understand that everyone doesn't eat exactly what they do!
