My Students

My students are reaching for the stars every day. I strive to provide them with an educational experience that will impact them to the very fiber of their being. Having high-interest reading material is what my students have asked for most. Please help me provide my students with even more books, how can you say NO to kids who WANT to read.

Classrooms today are a place where kids determine who and what they want to be.

By exposing them to various genres of books, I am a PROUD facilitator of exploration, a catapult of exploration and a cheerleader in every quest for knowledge.

I have had the pleasure of working with future LEADERS of America. I want to provide them a learning laboratory that makes them excited to come to school each day.

My Project

Classroom teachers know best what students are interested in, because we have this insight it is our duty to continue to encourage them. My classroom encourages reading by enticing them with new, relevant, and engaging books that capture their attention and hold it throughout the book.

Books like G.O.A.T.

a biographical book about LeBron James, highlighting his journey from Cleveland, OH to basketball greatness. Placing emphasis on philanthropic endeavors in communities that can evoke change and growth in today's youth. A book about self-confidence; in a world where there are so many negative innuendos, reading about those who overcame adversities to be true to themselves. My book selection covers the gamut in readability and engagement.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.

Equity Focus
