My Project

Students Making A Real Transition (S.M.A.R.T) is an acronym I use to describe my students, who are the epitome of resilience, hopefulness, and determination. Despite facing homelessness and constantly moving from place to place, they always strive to do their best and are brave, strong, ambitious, and kind. They set goals for themselves and work hard to achieve them.

The I Am Brave, I Am Kind, and I Am Strong affirmation coloring book can significantly impact my student's lives by helping them gain confidence, improve their growth mindset, and believe in themselves.

Just a few positive words can turn their day around and make them feel truly magical.

During our weekly group sessions, we will use the coloring book to teach my students critical social-emotional skills such as self-awareness, behavioral management, and self-confidence. Coloring is a fun and creative way for kids to express themselves, and when combined with valuable life lessons, it can make a powerful impression on them."
