My students are creative, caring, and very energetic. Our classroom is a hands-on learning community. I work with children that are 4 and 5 years-old. Their ability to love learning excites me to find new and exciting ways to teach things to them. They love to learn about new things. They love to look about pictures and talk about them. They love to look and ask many questions about things they have seen on the playground. Our school is a preschool-second grade building and is part of one of the largest urban school districts in my state. All of the students attending in our district receive free lunch and are living at or below the poverty line.
My Project
My students come to school excited to learn every day. Art is one of the subject areas that my children enjoy.
The art table is open everyday and we enjoy letting the students show us how creative they can be with open ended art.
We are in need of paint, paint brushes, paper, glitter glue and more.
My students don't have the luxury of being able to buy these materials for their own use at home because of being from low income families. They would be so excited to have them readily available in our classroom to use to create their masterpieces.
