I am requesting a few different items for my fifth grade class. I teach all subjects and as a second-year teacher, I learned the more tools I can give my students the better off they are. The math tool kits and the dry-erase pockets are the two things I need the most. Each student having their own would make their learning grow exponentially. Last year I had one tool kit and only a few pockets.
Some of the other materials like a bin of LEGO bricks are a great way to show and build area models.
Allow students to really get their hands invested in learning area and cube models. Also the globe for travel and learning scale of models. Each one of these tools will be used for students' growth I truly believe in a hands-on approach and less lecturing from me.
