My Project

Help us to create a grab-what-you-need hygiene station for our special education school community. Our high school students are of the special education population and require a lot of support to manage their daily living and self-care skills. By creating a hygiene station, we will enable our students to practice and promote self-care so they are better prepared for their daily living tasks and support them with their future employment endeavors. Our students learn academics but also participate in worksite and work-study programs to help them learn daily living skills and teach them entry-level job skills. A hygiene station will help students work on their professionalism and build self-care with confidence. We want to create a hygiene and wellness station where students can get items like tooth brushes and deodorant to feel refreshed on days they forget their daily living tasks.

We also want to create a space where students can get hydrated with hydration packets and small snacks to help support full stomachs to better deal with their emotions.
